Overview

WellCentive´s medical interfacing services and integration focus set us apart from other patient registry vendors. At WellCentive, we understand that the utility of your system is directly related to the accuracy and completeness of the data set it contains.

Interfaces can automatically acquire and process data of different types from disparate sources to effortlessly keep your database up-to-date. Interfaces can also be used to transmit data directly to payers for various Pay for Performance programs, which can save your physicians time and money, since they won´t need to manually enter data into each payer´s system in order to earn their PFP payments.

Interfaces help keep costs low and physician engagement rates high.

Custom interface development

The WellCentive Integration Team is expert at building medical interfaces using virtually any data transport method (such as HTTPS, VPN, FTP, etc.) and data format (such as HL7, LOINC, XML, CSV, etc.).

Our Integration Team has produced tutorials and detailed programmer´s guides and even led technical workshops for various organizations in order to provide these organizations with the technical assistance needed to complete the interfaces that our customers desire. While this is not always necessary, this is but one example of how we are always willing to go the extra mile to help our customers get the data that they need.

Included development hours

Organizations that purchase the WellCentive registry system for a three-year term will receive 5 hours of custom interfacing and other development time per provider license. License payments are made annually, and these hours can be used to build interfaces, process legacy system data, perform data processing work, and build system enhancements.

Your organization will provide the introductions to the interface partners of interest, and WellCentive will do the rest and notify you when each interface is complete - providing you with updates along the way.

Depending upon the complexity of the requested interface and whether we can adapt previous interface implementations for the project, the construction of a new interface usually takes between 100 and 200 hours.

Existing interfaces

WellCentive has completed a number of inbound and outbound interfaces. Please Contact Us for a list of previously completed interfaces that might be of benefit to your organization.

Any existing interfaces that can simply be reconfigured for use with your WellCentive system are available for a one-time configuration cost of $1,000.

The Generic Inbound Interface

The Generic Inbound Interface is available for configuration with any WellCentive system for a one-time cost of $2,500.

The Generic Inbound Interface will allow your organization to upload properly formatted data for any field in the WellCentive system at any time. This proprietary inbound interface comes with formatting instructions and can be used to process data files from lab, hospital, EMR, and other information systems.

The Generic Inbound Interface provides your organization with a reliable and inexpensive way to electronically import data into your WellCentive database.

The WellCentive Interface Hub

The WellCentive Interface Hub receives and processes incoming and outgoing messages for your WellCentive system. The user interface for the Hub provides the Administrative user with valuable information about the messages that have been received and sent. It also allows the user to view individual messages and correct and reprocess messages that have been sent in the wrong format.

Outbound Interfaces to Payers

WellCentive was chosen as one of twelve registry systems across the United States to test direct reporting of clinical and administrative data to CMS for the PQRI program.

Organizations that use WellCentive systems will be able to send their physicians´ data directly to CMS, which will help reduce data submission costs and improve physician engagement in this program.

PQRI is widely believed to be a precursor to mandatory outcomes reporting to CMS, and WellCentive can help your organization and your physicians get ready.

WellCentive has experience building outbound interfaces to other payers as well. Pay for Performance programs are growing in number and value, and physicians or their staff are often required to sign in to each payer´s own registry to manually review and enter data to make sure they are getting the PFP payments they have earned.

Building outbound interfaces to a variety of payers is a cost effective and efficient way of sending payers the necessary PFP data on a regular basis. The payers are supportive, because these interfaces provide them with more complete and more accurate data more frequently and lower their data aggregation costs as well.
